Course description
This is the second level in our curriculum. Whether you completed Level 1 with us or another school, we invite you to join us to deepen your exploration of the Spanish language and culture.
This course offers a fantastic opportunity to refine your communication skills, immerse yourself further in Hispanic culture, and gain the knowledge needed for successful travel to Spanish-speaking countries.
Our Level 2 course features a dynamic blend of interactive lessons and engaging activities, allowing students to connect and practice with fellow learners. Guided by our qualified and experienced teachers, you’ll explore more advanced topics in Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, all within a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Course aims
Building upon your foundational knowledge from Level A1.1, this course aims to further develop your communication skills in Spanish. By the end of the course, you will deepen your understanding of more advanced grammar concepts, expand your vocabulary, foster a deeper intercultural awareness, and enhance your confidence in navigating Spanish in a variety of everyday contexts.
Learn how to:
- talk about clothing;
- express needs;
- ask for prices and purchase things;
- express preferences;
- talk about physical appearance and personality;
- express likes and dislikes;
- talk about personal relationships;
- order something in a restaurant or a bar;
- talk about food; and
- talk about eating habits.
Grammar:
- Demonstrative pronouns
- Using articles to avoid repetitions
- Expressing obligation (e., tener que + infinitive)
- The verbs ir and preferir
- Expressing likes and dislikes (g., gustar, disgustar, odiar, amar, etc.)
- Quantifiers (g., muy, bastante, un poco, etc.)
- Possessive pronouns
- Agreeing and disagreeing (g., sí, no, también, tampoco, etc.)
- Using tilde to distinguish words
- The verbs dar, traer, and poner
- Direct object pronouns
- Prepositions (e., de and con)
- Quantifiers (g., muy, muchos, muchas, etc.)
Pronunciation:
- The sounds /r/ and /ɾ/
- The intonation for questions
- The sounds /h/, /x/, /t̠͡ʃ/
Vocabulary:
- Numbers +100
- Colours
- Clothing (e., pieces of clothing and their general characteristics)
- Common objects
- Talking about prices and currencies
- The family tree
- Physical appearance and character
- Music genres in the Hispanic world

- Typical dishes in the Hispanic world

- 12 Spanish online lessons designed to enrich your language skills.
This course will run using both the school’s learning platform and Zoom Meetings.
Course requirements
In order to make the most of your language learning journey, you will need:
- The book Aula Internacional Plus 1 – Difusión*, which you can purchase here, or via Amazon;
- Some basic knowledge on how to use Zoom and Google Classroom;
- A computer from which you can take the lesson;
- Reliable Internet service;
- A web camera and a functional microphone connected to your device;
- A positive learning attitude throughout the course, coupled with active participation in all class procedures.
Please note that you will receive the necessary details to connect to Zoom and Google Classroom via email, one day prior to the initial lesson.
