No. Unfortunately, we only run online courses. When you join, you will have complete access to the school internal learning platform and the lessons will be delivered through Zoom.
Spanish language courses are conducted synchronously. Your teacher will be present during the lesson to lead workshops and address any questions you may have. These courses are offered for groups or individual students.
Additionally, we provide asynchronous courses that complement the main curriculum.These courses are recommended for students who have completed specific levels, as certain language proficiency is required to fully enjoy the content.
Yes, we do offer one-to-one lessons tailored to your individual learning needs. This service can be booked in hour packages of 5, 10, 15, or 20 hours.

At Talk & Boom, we want you to have the best possible experience with us. When you join our Spanish courses, we ask you to ensure you have the following:
- Stable Internet access.
- A device such as a desk computer, a laptop, or a tablet.
- An integrated microphone in your device or a headset.
- A working webcam, as you are required to have it on during the lessons.
- An account on Zoom. We will email you the access link before the first lesson. You will also find it once you access the school’s learning platform.
- In language courses, you are required to purchase a book which will be used to support your learning experience. The book you need is stated in each course description in our website.
Besides these materials, we kindly ask you to maintain a positive learning attitude throughout the lessons. As a student, your active participation and willingness to engage in all class activities are greatly appreciated.
Our curriculum is structured around the renowned Aula Internacional Plus series published by Difusión. The book you need is stated in each course description in our website and can be purchased through Amazon.
The coursebooks are essential components of our teaching methodology and are designed to enhance your learning experience.
Our lessons take place via Zoom. Before the first lesson, you will receive an email containing the access link.
Moreover, once you join our courses, you will have access to our learning platform. In this platform, you will also find the Zoom link as well as supplementary materials, lesson handouts, practice games, and receive feedback on your work.
Upon completion of a course, access to our platform will be revoked. We advise you to download any materials you find valuable to your devices before the course concludes.
Our group courses take place in a range of times. We offer the following timings for the courses:
- Mondays and Wednesdays – 18:00 h to 19:30 h, British time.
- Mondays and Wednesdays – 19:30 h to 21:00 h, British time.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays – 18:00 h to 19:30 h, British time.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays – 19:30 h to 21:00 h, British time.
For our 1-to-1 classes, the schedule will be arranged according to the availability of our teaching team and the learner(s).
Our school limits each course to a maximum of 10 learners. However, a minimum of 4 learners is necessary for a language course to open. We encourage you to book your course as soon as possible as our courses fill up quickly.
At Talk & Boom, we understand the importance of selecting the most suitable course for your needs. To assist you in this decision-making process, we suggest you follow the process below:
The first step is to take our online placement test, tailored specifically to our school’s requirements. This comprehensive test assesses your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.
After receiving your answers, our teaching team will assess which course best suits you and will email you with the results and a link to book your course.
We also recommend encourage you to consult our curriculum to learn more about our courses.
If you discover that the course you’ve been assigned isn’t suitable, whether due to its difficulty or other reasons, please inform your teacher after the first lesson. They will then notify our administrative team, who will assist you in transferring to a more appropriate course.
However, please be aware that we are unable to accommodate course changes after the first week of classes.
Talk & Boom proudly embraces Colombian culture as part of our curriculum but, linguistically, we teach international Spanish. In other words, although most of our teachers are Colombian, they are trained to include a variety of Spanish dialects and accents to provide a comprehensive understanding of the language as it is spoken worldwide.

We utilise Spanish as the primary means of communication during our lessons. However, there may be instances where our teachers need to use English, particularly in the early learning stages.

Our curriculum encompasses all essential language skills, including speaking and pronunciation, writing, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening.

Yes, all our lessons are recorded for the benefit of our students. If you miss a lesson, you will find the recording on the school’s platform.
At the moment, we do not offer courses specifically designed for children. Our current courses are tailored for adult learners. However, we are continuously reviewing our offerings and may consider introducing courses for children in the future.
We are pleased to provide a digital certificate of attendance upon successful completion of your course. You will see a button on our platform to request your certificate once the course has finished.
Please, note that you will only be issued a certificate if you have attended at least 80% of the lessons.
It’s also important to note that while these certificates serve as evidence of course completion, they may not carry the same weight in CV and visa applications as internationally recognised examinations like SIELE or DELE.
At the moment, we do not offer training courses specifically for the DELE and SIELE exams. However, this is a project we are considering, and we aim to provide such courses in the near future to assist students in preparing for these certifications.

Certainly! Our teachers are trained to provide feedback in each lesson through your interactions. This feedback is aimed at helping you improve your language skills and will always be formative.

Talk & Boom operates under Colombian commercial regulations, and the preferred payment method for our courses is through debit or credit card. However, we also accept PayPal. If you encounter any payment difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@talkandboom.com for assistance with the payment process.
Please note that we do not offer payment in instalments; therefore, the full course fee must be paid upfront.
At Talk & Boom, we highly appreciate our students and encourage their continued participation in our courses. This is why we offer a £15 discount when you enrol in the next level. This discount code will be sent via email to all our active students with specified dates for its application.
Please note that this discount is exclusively for our active students, and unfortunately, we cannot extend it to new enrolees.
Furthermore, for supplementary courses outlined on our website, active students are eligible for a 20% discount should they wish to enrol.
If you request a refund at least 14 days before the course begins, you can receive a full refund.
If the refund is requested between 13 and 7 days before the course start date, a full refund will be issued minus £80, which is our cancellation fee.
Once the course has started, refunds are only granted under the following circumstances:
- Serious illness: If a serious illness prevents you from attending sessions, you must provide a medical certificate as evidence. Refunds will be processed for the missed lessons.
- Compassionate reasons: In case of the unfortunate loss of a family member or other compassionate circumstances, an official certificate must be provided as evidence. Refunds will be applicable for affected sessions.
- School’s inability to continue: In the rare instance where your teacher experiences serious illness and no alternative staff can take over the course, we will notify you and refunds will be issued for the equivalent value of missed lessons.
In any case, refunds will only cover the fees for the missed sessions. Please note:
- No refunds are provided for missed sessions due to reasons other than those mentioned above.
- All refund requests must be promptly submitted at [contact information] and will be processed accordingly. Refunds will be issued within 30 calendar days following the agreed refund date.
Unfortunately, we do not sell or distribute the required coursebooks for our lessons. In this spirit, we are unable to provide refunds for coursebooks purchased externally.
Missing a lesson does not result in “failing” the course; instead, you have the opportunity to catch up on missed material. Your teacher will post relevant materials on our platform after each lesson for you to review.
Additionally, if you wish to review the lesson content, you will have access to the lesson recording on the school’s platform. This way, you can stay updated on what was covered in class.
Regrettably, this option is not available at our school. We trust you understand that such a practice could be disruptive for both teachers and learners. Each group progresses at its own pace and explores content according to their unique learning styles, making it challenging to integrate students from other classes.
Postponements can be requested if made at least 7 days before the course start date. However, requests for postponement within 7 days of the course start date or after the course has commenced will not be accepted.
No, unfortunately, we do not allow students to join a course after it has already started as this can be disruptive to the learning environment and cohesion of the class.
We align our schedule with both Colombian and British holidays. As a result, we do not conduct lessons on bank holidays in either country. This information is communicated to students before the start of the courses to facilitate their academic planning.
